A 17-year-old girl presented with a swelling in front of her left ear. Diagnostic tests, including a needle biopsy and MRI, confirmed the presence of a parotid adenoma abutting the facial nerve. Due to the significant risk of facial nerve paralysis and potential facial disfigurement, particularly given her young age, she was referred to us for surgery. We performed a superficial parotidectomy, meticulously preserving all branches of the facial nerve. The procedure was successful, and the patient experienced no postoperative paralysis.
